How do we do it? Through very concrete actions: optimising water and energy consumption, avoiding waste, and implementing eco-friendly practices that go beyond what is required.

Eliminating single-use plastics and generating less waste is a priority. We implement eco-friendly practices that help keep the destinations where we operate clean.
Sustainability with technology
We innovate with projects like Winnow, which reduces food waste thanks to artificial intelligence, or Agua KMZero, which allows us to offer high quality filtered water without generating plastic waste. Technology that transforms.

We collaborate with initiatives focused on the care of flora and fauna, the promotion of local culture, education, and support for those who need it most. We also work with organisations such as Cáritas and Cruz Roja, participating in projects aimed at children, social inclusion, and training for people with disabilities.
Our commitment is clear: to build a form of tourism that also improves people's lives and respects the identity of each destination. Because caring for the world also means caring for those who inhabit it.

Our commitment to more responsible tourism is also reflected in the recognition we have received. We take pride in having been awarded international sustainability certifications which validate our actions and motivate us to continue improving.
Among them, the BREEAM certification stands out, one of the most important worldwide in sustainable building, which endorses hotels such as the Pez Espada, Riviera, Flamingo Oasis, Riudor, Regente, Rio Park, and The Agir Springs Hotel.
We also have the Ecostars certification, which awards “eco-stars” based on the environmental impact per stay.

Water without plastic, for a cleaner future
At MedPlaya, we have said goodbye to plastic bottles. Thanks to our collaboration with Agua KMZero, we have installed water filtration systems in several hotels to provide fresh, safe, and high-quality water, without generating waste.
This small yet significant gesture allows us to reduce plastic waste considerably and move towards a more responsible tourism model. But we don't just care for the planet: we also enhance the experience of our visitors, with accessible and sustainable water points within the hotel.
Because every sip counts. And if it's plastic-free, even better.
